Prefab homes are being designed and manufactured around the world at prices that can be hard to ignore. Field House helps American buyers look beyond the pictures, understand the real questions and connect with the companies behind the homes.

You see the ad.“Wow, I want that.”
Then you read the listing.“Wait… can I actually buy and build this?”
Field House lives in the space between those two sentences.
01The gap
Sending a large payment to a company thousands of miles away is a serious decision.
A beautiful rendering and a low factory price do not tell you what arrives, what still has to be completed locally or whether the home fits the requirements of your site.
Field House helps buyers compare the details and ask better questions before moving forward.
02What we look at
We organize the questions that matter, present what we learn in plain English and connect serious buyers with the people responsible for the answers.
The full question list03Kinds of homes
Each type arrives differently, costs differently and raises different questions. Start with the one that fits the dream.

Compact homes for everyday living, family use, rentals and backyard housing.

Smaller spaces for visitors, private retreats and hospitality settings.

Shipping-efficient buildings that open into larger spaces after delivery.
Factory-prepared systems completed by a qualified local construction team.
04How it works
No checkout. No deposits. Field House is the research layer between curiosity and the manufacturer.
Browse homes by use, size, construction type and estimated factory price.
See what has been documented, what has not yet been confirmed and what must be handled locally.
Request an introduction to the manufacturer or provider responsible for the next step.
05On the desk
Every listing separates what the manufacturer says from what we’ve seen documented — and lists what nobody has answered yet.

06Meet Bill — why Field House exists
As someone with a lifelong passion for the outdoors, I found myself asking a simple question: How do I actually make this a reality?
The deeper I went, the more I realized that many of the homes I loved were being built overseas. And suddenly, I had way more questions than answers.
Who am I actually buying from? Who can I trust? What will it really cost to get the home here? And am I seriously supposed to send tens of thousands of my hard-earned dollars to a company halfway around the world and just hope for the best?
That’s why I created Field House.

Plain-English explainers from the investigation — the real price, what arrives and what “approved” actually means.

A $30,000 home and a $30,000 installed home are two very different things. Here's the gap, line by line.
